Description

An exceptional example of the legendary Conn 30M Connqueror tenor saxophone, dating from 1937 and representing one of the finest professional saxophones produced during Conn's golden era in Elkhart, Indiana.

The 30M was Conn's flagship tenor saxophone, building on the celebrated 10M design with more sophisticated keywork, the innovative Permadjust mechanism, rolled tone holes and distinctive Art Deco styling.

Renowned for its rich, powerful and resonant tone, the 30M offers the warmth, projection and character for which vintage American saxophones are so highly regarded. These instruments are increasingly sought after by professional players and collectors alike.

This particular instrument underwent a full professional overhaul in June 2023 by Steve Crow of Huddersfield, a highly respected specialist in vintage saxophone restoration and repair. The instrument is in excellent playing condition and plays perfectly, combining the unmistakable character of a vintage Conn with the responsiveness and reliability expected of a professionally maintained saxophone.

The Conn 30M is a relatively rare and highly desirable instrument, combining outstanding craftsmanship, distinctive engineering and the unmistakable sound of a classic American tenor.

A wonderful opportunity to acquire a genuine 1937 Conn instrument, professionally overhauled, playing beautifully and with nearly 90 years of musical history.
